Here is the little echo. Safely parked at our temporary home in Tucson, Arizona. Our stuff is all over the place and still in boxes.

Bethany and I have officially been working for GAP (a
foster care ministry) for a week. Training is very intense with not a lot of rest time. Last night was our first night running the house. About 3 hours after the night had begun there had been: 5 fights, a few "I hate yous", endless screaming, a couple hugs, several laughs, 4 people sent to their room, several rounds of tears, and
two letters of apology. The night somehow ended on a positive note with all the kids saying "goodnight" to us and several giving us hugs. That must have been God's help. It was hard to tell if God was taking care of us during the night because of all the struggles we had. It seems like the first couple weeks of this job are going to be extra tough as we establish respect with the kids and the other house parents.
